Let's Build History 

This role is a critical position on the team. you will be the vision holder for quality, automation, and test tooling on the team. In addition to traditional game testing methodology, you will support efforts to ensure high quality interactions between the game and our blockchain platform, website connectivity to the game, and user generated content tools. You will manage quality assurance team members and vendors who work with software engineers, content developers, artists, project managers, release managers and producers to ensure high quality across our game and platform. You will create and iterate test processes and policy for all aspects of the studio.  

The Job  

• You will manage inquiries and QA staff on multiple teams. 

• You will define the architecture and lead development of tools and automation. 

• Hire and retain qualified talent, while understanding and working with resource constraints. 

• Create measurable quality targets based on product goals, while driving visibility on progress. 

• Guide testing strategies and conduct quality activities throughout the software development life cycle. 

• Report the metrics that matter, using data to guide action. 

• Identify risks, impact, probability, and plan mitigation. 

• Hold fellow team members accountable for including quality as an essential factor in product development.

• Help improve product pipelines and workflows. 

• Partner across departments with leadership to influence decisions. 

• Advocate for our players across all aspects of the experience.

• 6+ years of developing or leading the development of tools & automation. 

• 4+ years of people management experience. 

• Multiple games shipped as the quality owner 

• Experience working with remote testing teams. 

• Experience working with senior leadership to manage budgets, headcount, and schedule.

• Development experience across various platforms: PC, Mobile, Consoles. 

• Experience as an SDET, Software Engineer, or QA Architect. 

• Experience working with 3D game engines such as Unreal or Unity

Nice to Have 

• Web3 / Blockchain experience

• A mindset of continuous improvement; humble and ambitious. 

• Prior experience in a startup environment or small business. 

• Adaptable, with a good sense of humor.
